Technical & Other Website Concerns
What will my URL be?
One technical concern for this site is what the url will be to give students. After looking through Blackboard CourseSites, I was able to find the url would be: https://www.coursesites.com/webapps/portal/frameset.jsp?url=%2Fwebapps%2Fblackboard%2Fexecute%2Flauncher%3Ftype%3DCourse%26id%3D_237609_1%26url%3DDue to the fact that this is such a long link, I created a shorter URL: http://bit.ly/SEI89A
How will I enroll students?
Because Blackboard CourseSites is independent from my school's PeopleSoft "auto-enroll," I will have to manually add students to the course. This will require some maintenance as students add or drop the class during the first few weeks of the semester.
How is the site backed up?
The website is not linked to my school's server, so it will be important to copy the files for the course to the server.
